Jeremy Hickey (aka RSAG) has been teaching drums & percussion for over 10 years throughout the country. He will provide a fun and exciting way to learn about rhythm. Participants will use pulse, tempo, tones, prepared instruments, the human voice and the human body. Background will be given on the use of percussion on a local and global scale. Children will learn concentrating/focusing techniques, ways of exploring individuality in musical expression as well as experiencing first hand ensemble music making and the many elements surrounding performance.
One of Ireland’s leading professional sean-nós dancers and winner of TG4’s talent show ‘Glas Vegas’ in 2009, Sibéal went on to perform in Las Vegas, Electric Picnic, Celtic Connections and The National Concert Hall among other notable venues. She learned classical ballet, jazz and contemporary from the age of 5 and is currently developing her choreographic practice in the range of Irish traditional and contemporary dance. A real must for all budding dancers both young and old.

Taught by local multi-instrumentalist and award-winning sticksman Jeremy Hickey, this group drumming workshop, combines samba and African rhythms and aims to provide both a fun and educational experience. Whether you’re looking for a therapeutic outlet, a way to improve team building skills and productivity, or just if want to make some noise then this is a must! Drumming is proven to reduce stress levels and gives an enormous sense of well being, not to mention an enjoyable way to learn new skills in pulse and rhythm.

Dónal Lunny is popularly regarded as having being central to the renaissance of Irish Music over the last three decades. He has had involvement with some of the most innovative bands to emerge from Ireland including Planxty, the Bothy Band and Moving Hearts and has produced/collaborated with Kate Bush, Mark Knopfler and the Indigo Girls among others.
A member of Aosdána, Dónal received an Honorary Doctorate in music from Trinity College and was appointed Artist in Residence at the University of Limerick in 2009 where he frequently teaches.

Irish fiddle player, Zoë Conway, is a prodigious talent. Zoë has performed across the globe, both as a solo artist and also playing with international acts such as Riverdance, Damien Rice, Rodrigo y Gabriella and Nick Cave. She is a holder of the much coveted All-Ireland Senior Fiddle Champion title and was voted Best Traditional Female of the Year in Irish Music Magazine. Zoë is increasingly in demand as a tutor on the merits of classical and traditional music on the violin. She has performed at major festivals and in some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world.
